Welcome to Hardy Elementary School!
Hardy is a wonderful place for children to learn and thrive! Our community appreciates and nurtures strength in diversity, with a truly diverse group of students and staff from a variety of backgrounds, who respect and celebrate each other's differences. With San Diego State University as our neighbor, being part of the college area has a great influence on fostering our college-going culture with school-wide academic rigor and high expectations. We also develop understanding and love for the visual and performing arts, providing all students a weekly art lesson from a full-time Art Teacher, and all grade levels practice a dance or movement to music unit. In addition, we have instrumental programs for every 4th and 5th grade student, and several opportunities for drama or theater activities with almost every classroom.
Hardy Owls soar as we encourage positive behavior and teach students to follow the W.I.S.E Way: to demonstrate a Winning attitude, have Integrity, Show respect and responsibility, and Encourage others.
