Unleashing Creativity: Hardy Elementary's Vibrant Art Program

Hardy Elementary stands out with its full-time art program. Led by the talented and passionate Ms. Teresa Behnke, a certified art teacher, the school offers students in TK-5th grade an exceptional opportunity to explore their creative potential.

Through engaging lessons and hands-on experiences, the art program at Hardy Elementary fosters artistic skills, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for the visual arts.

A Weekly Art Journey:

Hardy Elementary's art program provides a consistent and structured curriculum, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to participate in art lessons every week.

Students are exposed to a wide range of art mediums. From traditional mediums such as drawing, painting, and sculpting to digital art, collage, and printmaking, students have the opportunity to experiment and discover their preferred artistic styles.

Throughout the art program, students are exposed to the works of renowned artists from different periods and cultures, sparking their curiosity and expanding their knowledge. By studying various art movements and understanding the historical and cultural contexts behind them, students gain a deeper understanding of the world and how art reflects society.

The school organizes an annual art exhibit, showcasing students' artwork and celebrating their achievements. This exhibition provides an opportunity for students to proudly display their creations, share their artistic journey with their families and the wider school community, and receive recognition for their efforts and creativity.

Students at Hardy Elementary are given a platform to express themselves, discover their unique artistic voices, and develop a lifelong love for the arts.
