Noah Wilke

Noah Wilke teaches general music and string orchestra at Hardy. In addition to learning to play the recorder in 4th grade and an orchestral string instrument (violin, viola, cello, double bass) in 5th grade, students learn basic music theory and musicianship skills such as singing, critical listening, and reading notation. Once comfortable with playing instruments and using basic musicianship skills, students apply their knowledge of music theory to improvise and compose original music. Students are encouraged to listen to a wide variety of musical styles and to consider themselves as musicians for life regardless of the career path they choose.
